About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Xva and Market Data Technology teams. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our Xva platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our business and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop technical strategies to meet those needs.
- Ensure the Xva platform is aligned with Scotiabank's technology vision and roadmap.
- Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to help them grow in their careers.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software development and engineering leadership.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, SQL, and caching technologies.
- Experience with cloud technologies, such as Azure or GCP.
- Strong understanding of data models and analytics.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
