Network Engineer in Solution Test

Job DescriptionWe are seeking highly skilled Solution Test Engineers to join our team. As a Solution Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products through comprehensive testing of large, complex, and feature-rich end-to-end environments.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and expectations.
- Design and build network topologies to test use cases.
- Configure hardware, features, and tools to emulate required environments.
- Execute exhaustive test plans, focusing on potential weaknesses, performance, and realistic scale.
- Troubleshoot failures and performance shortcomings, working with the development team to reproduce, analyze, and fix issues.
- Communicate and present results to stakeholders, providing feedback and recommendations on design and performance improvements.
- Interact with sales teams and customers to answer questions, handle ad-hoc requests, and run small demos.
- Cross-train with peers on new technologies to improve team effectiveness.
- Master's degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or computer networking.
- 3+ years of experience in System Test or Solution Test roles, handling complex end-to-end environments.
- Deep knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies, including IP forwarding, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS, eVPN, ECMP, VRRP, STP, RSTP, MST, PVST+, Ethernet link aggregation, LACP, etc.
- Working knowledge of layer-2/3-switch administration, including industry-standard CLI and SNMP interfaces.
- Familiarity with Linux tools such as ping, traceroute, tcpdump, ifconfig, ip link, ip route, arp, /proc/net, /proc/sys/net, vmstat, netstat, ttcp, iperf, and strace.
- Some familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or TCL.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong drive to improve quality and curiosity to learn new technologies.
Arista Networks offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $145,000, depending on location and experience. We also offer benefits, including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, income protection, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan.
