About the Role:

We're hiring an experienced data science leader to join our Investing leadership team. This individual will work on high-priority initiatives, ensuring that product strategy is grounded in data and analytics.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing user behavior to understand client interactions
• Developing and implementing experiments to evaluate new features and product changes
• Applying causal inference methods in non-experimental settings
• Using machine learning algorithms to segment users and personalize product experiences
• Developing and maintaining core data models and pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility

Your Key Responsibilities:

- Manage partnerships with Product, Product Marketing, and Engineering teams to support high-priority efforts
- Lead a best-in-class team of data scientists and grow each individual
- Build robust, efficient, and integrated data models in cloud data warehouses used for analytics across the Investing organization
- Set organizational standards and influence our data science and engineering culture
- Apply statistical techniques and build machine learning models to solve real-life product problems and inform product decisions
- Apply software engineering best practices like version control and continuous integration to the analytics code base; ensure data models are well-tested, documented, and maintained
- Translate business requirements into data models and analysis that help stakeholders answer key business questions and inform strategic decisions
- Continuously look for the simplest, most effective way to approach challenges
- Take ownership and ship results
- Empower the team by leveraging their diverse educational backgrounds
- Work from anywhere (as we're a remote-first workforce)

Your Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience leading multiple Data Science teams and a proven dedication to helping your teams and others grow
- Strong business acumen and product sense, able to drive strategic vision
- Excellent Python and SQL skills, with experience working with popular libraries like Pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, and Jupyter
- Strong understanding of statistics, including frequentist and Bayesian approaches
- Strong understanding of fundamental machine-learning algorithms, such as regression and decision trees
- Ability to articulate your stance effectively, collaborating with different stakeholders
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities and manage complexity and change
- Coach people in their current roles to improve performance and prepare them for future roles
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Plan, organize, schedule, and budget efficiently, productively
- Eager to teach and learn from your team, valuing success
