Job Description

At Universal Kidz Montessori Childcare, we are seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment that fosters the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of young children.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers while ensuring their hygiene and health needs are met.
  • Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote children's growth and development.
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing songs, and taking children on educational outings to local points of interest.
  • Support early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate records of children's progress.
  • Engage children in various activities through creative play, teaching, and preparation of crafts.
  • Guide and assist children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare written observations of children's progress for early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any challenges they may be facing.
Certifications and Qualifications
  • The successful candidate must possess a Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
Security and Safety Requirements
  • A Criminal Record Check is required prior to employment.
  • A Medical Exam may also be required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This role involves repetitive tasks and requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Physically demanding with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

  • Flexibility and reliability are also highly valued.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.

Hours: 30-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends.
