Job Title: Truck Driver

We are a locally owned and operated transportation company, ABC Freightlines Inc., providing professional hauling and transport services to essential supply chain and freight.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across Canada, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections to ensure fleet standards are met
  • Record driving and freight information, hours of service, distance traveled on electronic logbook
  • Follow guidelines for food load distribution, food handling, and safety
  • Receive and relay information to dispatch
  • Ensure on-time deliveries and pick-ups
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Perform fleet preventative maintenance
  • Complete all paperwork fully and accurately
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with AZ and acceptable driver's record
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to equipment and vehicle at job sites
  • Knowledge of main highways of Ontario and geographical knowledge of other provinces
  • Ability to drive long hours and long distances
  • Knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations
  • A positive and friendly attitude
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate of $27.50
  • Overtime pay at $41.25 per hour after 44 hours per week
  • 10 paid vacation days or vacation pay 4% of gross pay
  • Job Protected Unpaid Leave: 10 days for personal emergencies
  • MELT Training cost: Company advance available payable in easy installments
