Job Summary


We are looking for a talented and organized individual to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our food preparation, inventory, and staff, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities



  • Food Preparation and Management: Develop and implement menus, manage food inventory, and oversee food preparation to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
  • Staff Supervision: Train, supervise, and motivate our kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and management of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
  • Work Schedule Management: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak periods.
  • Culture and Training: Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by providing cultural competency training and awareness programs for employees.

Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, customers, and suppliers.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with culinary genres and the ability to create menus that cater to diverse tastes and dietary requirements.
  • A valid Work Term: Permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
  • English as the primary language of work.

Benefits


We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
