Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumber Technician to join our team at Bouchier. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on our water-based fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on fire hydrants and water-based fire protection systems
  • Performing corrective maintenance and repairs on water-based fire protection systems
  • Replacing assets and equipment as needed
  • Working in deep underground installations and repairs
  • Working in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and structures
  • Working outdoors 100% of the time
  • Working with and around equipment such as telehandlers, EWP, loaders, excavators, and hydrovac
  • Conducting flow tests of assets and installing contingencies
Requirements
  • Dual ticketed journeyman plumber with a valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Some experience with water-based fire protection systems and the oil sands industry is preferred
  • Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation) or equivalent safety ticket
  • WHMIS 2015 certification
  • Good mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented, able to follow instructions and clear orders, and have strong mechanical skills
  • Physical stamina required to use proper lifting techniques and execute tasks
  • Must be able to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods of time, sometimes work in cramped positions
  • Must have a safety-conscious attitude and be able to work well with co-workers and deal with clients
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
  • Must be clean-shaven
