Provincial Indigenous Engagement Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Provincial Indigenous Engagement Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, and stakeholders to advance the Government of Saskatchewan's Indigenous relations goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with Indigenous communities and organizations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Indigenous leaders and organizations
  • Provide advice and support to government departments and agencies on Indigenous relations matters
  • Contribute to the development of policies and programs that support Indigenous relations
  • Collaborate with other government departments and agencies to advance Indigenous relations goals
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as Indigenous studies, politics, or public administration
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Indigenous relations, community development, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and current issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.33 hours per week, averaged over 4 weeks. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to travel to various locations throughout the province.

What We Offer:

The Government of Saskatchewan offers a competitive salary range of $41.174-$51.598 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
