Gillz Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Requirements:

  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Efficient interpersonal skills

  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
