Job Summary

MPE Engineering Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and municipal projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, emergency backup systems, and electrical system modeling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Provide technical input and direction to junior staff and lead small projects.
  • Conduct site visits to validate adherence to specifications and design.
  • Mentor junior staff under the guidance of senior staff.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Eligibility for professional membership with APEGA (P.Eng.) or ASET (P.Tech.(Eng.)
  • Experience in AutoCAD and Revit drafting, electrical system building design, and commercial and/or industrial electrical consulting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design, installation, and code requirements of electrical systems in buildings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic drafting experience in Revit.
  • Good understanding of electrical components in a model.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate small projects.
