We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Mission Veterinary Hospital (1992) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to animals undergoing treatment and surgery, assisting veterinarians, and performing various laboratory tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
- Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
- Administer treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian
- Identify livestock
- Counsel clients on animal health care
- Conduct and assist in laboratory research
- Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry
- Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
- Provide wound and bandage care
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Permanent employment
- English as the primary language of work
- 30 to 40 hours of work per week
