**Job Description: Night Shift Animal Caregiver for Senior and Special Needs Animals**

**Position**: Night Shift Animal Caregiver
**Shift Schedule**:

- Week 1: 4 days (Tuesday - Friday), 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM
- Week 2: 3 days (Tuesday - Thursday), 7:00 PM - 6:30 AM
- Rotating every two weeks
- Total: 80.5 hours per 2 weeks (Full-Time) includes paid 1 hour break per shift.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Animal Care**: Provide excellent care to assigned animals, ensuring their needs are met.
- **Basic Needs**: Supply fresh water, food, and any necessary medications.
- **Enrichment**: Create a stress-free environment with adequate enrichment for the animals.
- **Cleaning**: Maintain cleanliness of animal enclosures and follow all cleaning protocols.
- **Facility Maintenance**: Keep assigned areas and equipment clean and organized, including bathrooms, fridges, and other equipment.
- **Issue Reporting**: Report any issues to supervisors, including but not limited to, changes in eating/drinking habits, medication refusals, unusual behaviors, and equipment or maintenance problems.
- **Inventory Management**: Notify supervisors when supplies are low to prevent running out of essential items.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain up-to-date logs, including checklists, medication records, wellness records, vaccinations, deworming, etc.
- **Animal Variety**: Be prepared to work with various species, including farm, exotic, and domestic animals. Communicate with supervisors if unsure about working with specific animals.
- **Medication Administration**: Preferably have experience with administering medications (SubQ, IM, oral).
- **Additional Duties**: Perform any other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Comfortable working alone.
- Capable of working night shifts.
- Preferably experienced with administering medications.
- Knowledge of feline expressions is a plus.
- Ability to maintain a safe and clean environment for both animals and staff.
