Job Title: Digital Media Strategist - Social Media Campaigns

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

This is a full-time position at McMaster University. We are seeking a highly skilled digital media strategist to lead our social media campaigns and develop a robust online presence.

About the Job:

We are looking for a talented professional with expertise in developing and implementing effective social media strategies that engage our target audience and drive meaningful results. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other similar community sites.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media campaigns and presence on various social networking sites.
  • Develop and post engaging content that supports faculty, department, and program goals.
  • Analyze and report on the impact of social media programs to make adjustments for maximum results.
  • Monitor trends and applications in social media and stay up-to-date with frequent changes to software and multimedia mediums.
  • Work closely with the manager and team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to social media and online digital presence.
  • Maintain and update social media guidelines.
  • Design and deliver social media and digital campaigns to achieve outreach goals.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to generate online and social media content and reach desired audiences.
  • Educate faculty and staff on best practices for social media.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience.
