Oyster Freight Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Preparation: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balances and statistical reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and overtime required.
