  • Staff Supervision:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff
    • Provide guidance and direction to staff to ensure successful event delivery
    • Maintain corporate standards by ensuring the quality and accuracy of work
  • Marketing Programming Support:
    • Report on trends and areas for growth
    • Advise and make recommendations to improve business needs and client feedback
    • Prepare event packages and marketing materials
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide site visits and tours for clients and vendors
    • Single point of contact for downtown Brampton events
    • Liaise with community groups, businesses, and customers to enhance client relationships
  • Event Operations Support:
    • Create client floor plans and consult staff on event planning
    • Provide onsite guidance and direction to internal staff and vendors
    • Assist in event set-up and takedown

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Special Events, Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, Public Relations, or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in a municipal or community events-related environment
  • Strong customer service and people management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Knowledge of CRM systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, evenings, and weekends
