Job Overview

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Roofer Technician to join our team.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and metal roofs.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is able to work at heights, in fast-paced environments, and with heavy loads. You must have excellent hand-eye coordination, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure.

About the Job

This role involves working on site, where you will install and repair roofing systems using a variety of materials. You may also be required to instruct apprentices and assist with other tasks as needed.

You will work in various locations, including commercial and industrial settings, and will be exposed to noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
  • Instruct apprentices.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in roofing installation and repair.
  • Ability to work at heights and in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
