**Job Summary:**

Our Heavy Equipment Technicians assist in the overhaul of major components or remove/replace major components at the direction of Lead Technicians or Maintenance Supervisors. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing clutches, PTO systems, electric systems, hydraulic/air brake systems, heating/air conditioning systems, instruments and gauges, and performing preventative maintenance service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication of equipment and machinery
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks
- Inspect brakes, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition
- Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

Requirements:
- 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
- Must be currently enrolled in an apprentice program or have equivalent experience
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions and maintain regular attendance
- Willingness to travel within the district for customer visits, training, and other job-related activities
- Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems
