Job Summary

">

We are seeking a skilled Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the day-to-day management of workload, collaborating with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders, and performing an independent double check for repeat prescription release.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Pharmacy Manager in the management of workload, including task delegation and prioritization.">
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of prescription orders.">
  • Perform an independent double check for repeat prescription release to ensure accuracy and efficiency.">
  • Verify that customers receive correct prescriptions and address any discrepancies or issues.">
  • Identify potential therapeutic issues and seek guidance from Pharmacists to ensure patient safety.">
  • Work collaboratively with Innomar and ABSG Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.">
  • Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.">
  • Assist patients with prescription pickups and enter prescriptions into the computer system.">
  • Screen calls and gather relevant information for Pharmacists to ensure efficient communication.">
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and order medications as needed.">
  • Review invoices and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.">
  • Pack and ship prescription orders efficiently and accurately.">
  • Report Adverse Events in accordance with provincial regulatory standards and internal policies.">
  • Renew OCP Registration annually and participate in Quality Assurance Processes as required.">

Requirements

  • ">
  • Pharmacy Technician diploma from an accredited college and successful completion of Structured Practical Training or Ontario College of Pharmacists Bridging Program and Certificate of Registration with OCP.">
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience.">
  • Strong proficiency in Kroll software.">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).">
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.">
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations, pharmaceutical industry, and drug distribution practices.">
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, business acumen, and analytical skills.">
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.">
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work within a multi-disciplinary team.">
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.">
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.">
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.">
  • Time management skills and ability to multitask.">
  • Meticulous attention to detail.">
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.">
