Job Summary

Brendish Computers is seeking a skilled Computer Network Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting our local area networks, wide area networks, and computer workstations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users.
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with a 37.5 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to sit for extended periods and may be required to bend, crouch, or kneel.
