We are currently seeking a Bakery Assistant to join our dynamic team at Federated Co-operatives Limited.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, packaging and labeling bakery products, and performing tasks such as slicing bread and assisting in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers in the bakery department
  • Packaging and labeling bakery products for sale
  • Perform tasks such as slicing bread, frying donuts, utilizing ovens, and assisting in production as directed by bakers
  • Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed
  • Assist in setting up products for the following day
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
  • Prior experience in a bakery setting is an asset; however, training is available
