Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package, estimated at $43,500 per annum, based on a permanent hourly FT position (100% FTE) with shifts scheduled as per operational requirements, Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours per shift. Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Women's Ambulatory Clinics, this Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, mainly focusing on General Gynaecology, Uro-Gynaecology, Reproductive Endocrine, and Breast Health. The Registered Nurse may be reassigned within the Childbirth and Women's Health Care Team, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to cross-train consistent with the IWK Health Centre philosophy, objectives, vision, and mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, and candidates with commensurate experience and education will be considered.
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing is mandatory.
  • Successful completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support Level Program within the last 12 months or a BLS Renewal Challenge Certificate is required.
  • Recent interview and health assessment skills are essential.
  • Ability to teach one-on-one and demonstrated experience assisting Physicians with minor procedures is required.
  • Uro-dynamics experience and knowledge of Women's and Breast Health Issues are considered assets.
