Job SummaryThe Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing support to our management team in all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities- Recruitment and Hiring: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
- Employee Relations: Provide information or services, such as employee assistance and counselling, and advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures.
- Benefits Administration: Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training.
- Performance Management: Review candidate inventories, contact potential applicants to arrange interviews, and notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers.
- Education: College/CEGEP
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Electronic mail, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, attention to detail
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, organized, ability to multitask
- Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers, facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
