Job Title: Food Service Professional

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Food Service Professional to join our team at UK Spice Cuisine. As a Food Service Professional, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing cash and credit transactions, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit, or debit cards
  • Describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Advise customers on menu selections
  • Balance cash and record sales
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
  • Greet patrons, present menus, and make recommendations
  • Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
  • Serve food and beverages
  • Take orders and relay to kitchen and bar staff
  • Assist clients with special needs
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities

Work Environment: Our restaurant is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will work closely with our kitchen and bar staff to provide exceptional customer service. We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment for all employees.
