Job Summary
Sun Pharma seeks a seasoned Finance Director to lead its Canadian financial operations. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and people management.

About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of Canadian financial accounting, reporting, and internal control systems for Sun Pharma. They will act as a key member of the senior management team, making informed business decisions to drive performance and growth. As a leader, they will provide guidance, direction, and training to a supporting team of managerial, professional, and administrative personnel. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of people management experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities around teamwork and influencing global relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include ensuring the preparation and analysis of financial statements for Sun North America and Sun Canada. The Finance Director will also maintain financial accounting records in accordance with US GAAP for Sun Canada and ensure consolidated financial reporting includes Indian IFRS adjustments for Sun Pharma (parent company). Additionally, they will develop and recommend financial frameworks, practices, and control procedures to achieve business objectives. Other duties include ensuring internal controls are in place and operational compliance, supporting annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors, leading company-wide budgeting processes, and managing intercompany transfer pricing. The role also involves maintaining working capital levels and collaborating with other functional areas to support reductions. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and developing staff, conducting performance reviews, and giving ongoing feedback. Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess superior ability to use computer-based ERP systems (SAP knowledge preferred), reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects - BI plus software like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. They must also have excellent knowledge of Canadian and US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and working knowledge of costing and accounting principles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
