Sleep Country Canada Inc. Leadership Position for Financial Expert

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Accountant Manager to join our team at Sleep Country Canada Inc.
About the RoleThe Senior Accountant Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Team, including overseeing the monthly and quarterly financial results, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group policies, and implementing effective operational and financial controls.
This is a leadership position that requires a strong background in accounting, finance, and management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading teams, mentoring employees, and driving business growth through strategic planning and process improvements.
Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to drive business growth and profitability.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee the Accounting Team's daily activities, including month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Internal Controls: Design and implement effective internal controls to ensure compliance with IFRS and Group policies.
- Talent Development: Lead, coach, and mentor employees to develop their skills and achieve career goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation required.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or management; public accounting experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze complex financial data and drive business decisions.
