About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial reports, including trial balance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
