As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping team, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures to maintain exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Lead by example, motivating and mentoring housekeeping team members to achieve their full potential.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Manage departmental budget and expenses, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences and resolve any issues that may arise.
- 2+ years of managerial experience in housekeeping in a hotel or related industry.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Tourism or Hospitality is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Excellent organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Able to think critically and exercise good judgment, with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to endure an abundance of physical movements in the performance of job duties.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience in financial management for a housekeeping department an asset.
- Experience working in a unionized environment will be considered an asset.
