At Union Hotel, we're seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a key member of our housekeeping department, you'll be responsible for ensuring our high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are met, while also driving innovation and excellence in our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping team, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and high-quality results.
  • Enforce hotel standards, policies, and procedures to the Housekeeping team, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge, driving continuous improvement and growth.
  • Manage departmental budget and expenses, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Lead the Health and Safety efforts of the property, ensuring compliance with WHIMIS, WSIB, OHSA, and joint health and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, resolving issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of managerial experience in housekeeping in a hotel or related industry.
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Tourism or Hospitality is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think clearly under pressure.
  • Able to endure an abundance of physical movements in the performance of job duties.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Highly interpersonal, comfortable engaging with all guests, visitors, vendors, and team members.
