The Dessert Holdings Inc. is a leading and largest privately-owned frozen dessert manufacturer in Canada, boasting exponential growth and offering a Full Time Sanitation Worker position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily sanitation duties involve cleaning and sanitizing throughout the plant in all production areas, including dismantling, cleaning, and sanitizing processing equipment.
  • Sanitation and housekeeping functions cover the entire plant, encompassing wastewater treatment, garbage management, spiral freezer, and clean in place (CIP).
  • Working both inside and outside the plant is a must.
  • Understanding the principles of the master cleaning schedule, dispensing of chemical cleaning solutions, meeting quality control guidelines, and adhering to department procedures is crucial.
  • Identifying equipment problems and working cooperatively with maintenance and set-up is essential.
  • Effective communication with other departments is necessary to achieve organizational goals.

Position Requirements:

  • The ability to work with all chemical cleaning agents, including fungicides and possible insecticides, is necessary.
  • Excellent attendance records demonstrate reliability.
  • Strong initiative to achieve results is a must.
  • Ability to perform some heavy lifting, climb stairs, navigate around manufacturing equipment, and work with a sense of urgency is required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to work as a team player, are essential.
  • Ability to work with limited or no supervision is necessary.
  • Scissor lift experience is preferred.

  • Competitive hourly wage: $22.97.
  • A referral bonus of $1000.
  • Night premium: $1.5 (between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
