**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Family Doctor to join our team at Edgemont Medical Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the overall well-being of our community.
About the Role:
- This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $175,000 - $250,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
- The successful candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in family medicine, with a strong foundation in primary care.
- As a family doctor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to seniors.
- You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals to develop an accurate understanding of their health status.
- Perform routine physical examinations to identify potential health issues and develop treatment plans.
- Provide preventive care, including vaccinations, health screenings, and educational programs to promote healthy habits and lifestyles.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, including injuries, illnesses, and mental health concerns.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and address complex medical needs.
Requirements:
- A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry from a recognized institution.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and certification from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound medical decisions.
