We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team in Sudbury, ON, working 14.5 hours a week. This is a permanent, part-time position with an immediate start date.

As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will work closely with our supervising physiotherapist to develop and implement treatment plans for residents in residential care communities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with various components of treatment plans, including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, and range of motion exercises
  • Delivering dynamic, safe, and therapeutically beneficial exercise classes for groups of residents
  • Setting up and preparing equipment, as well as cleaning up after residents' treatments
  • Ensuring the resident gym and treatment areas are safe and tidy
  • Maintaining regular communication with the physiotherapist regarding resident status and treatment interventions
  • Recording daily treatments using our proprietary web-based system

To be successful in this role, you will require a PTA/OTA diploma or degree in Kinesiology, as well as standard First Aid & CPR Certification. A previous experience in an LTC setting is an asset. The successful candidate will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
