About the JobThis role is responsible for providing professional nursing care to individuals in an ambulatory setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing patient health status, administering medical therapies, and educating patients on self-administration techniques.
Job Responsibilities:- Assess patient health status using a pre-screening process that covers contraindications, objective and subjective data, to determine eligibility for receiving medical therapies.
- Administer medical therapies, including infusion and injection administration, while ensuring adherence to provincial College of Nurses standards and guidelines.
- Educate patients on self-administration techniques, promoting patient independence and understanding of their condition and medication.
- Document patient care services and manage records in accordance with INVIVA policies.
- Follow provincial College of Nurses standards and guidelines on medication administration.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical therapies, INVIVA policies, and provincial College of Nurses standards and guidelines.
- Participate in training and mentoring of new clinic staff.
- RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario, Canada. Must be a member in good standing.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, degree or equivalent.
- Infusion certification or equivalent experience a must.
- Maintains CPR certification.
- ACLS certification is an asset.
- Maintains yearly practice membership with provincial College of Nurses Association must be in good standing.
