CRH Canada is seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key partner for our Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix divisions, you will leverage your expertise to partner with hiring managers, providing customized recruitment strategies to attract and secure top talent for a range of high-volume positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing and recruitment strategies to meet business needs.
  • Build consultative partnerships with hiring managers and HR teams to understand and align with hiring requirements.
  • Perform full-cycle recruitment activities, from intake to offer extension, for seasonal, contract, and salaried positions.
  • Support in-person interviews and seasonal open houses at plant level for locations across the GTAA, Niagara, Oxford, Waterloo, and Durham regions.
  • Maximize sourcing channels via job boards, professional associations, university/colleges, outreach organizations, and social media.
  • Identify talent supply gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to bridge the gap.
  • Utilize market research to improve hiring effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Track and share productivity and performance metrics using Excel.
  • Participate in, collaborate on, and support HR-related projects.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • 3+ years of high-volume recruitment experience, utilizing multiple sourcing channels.
  • Strong business acumen with a consultative approach, able to challenge the status quo to drive informed hiring decisions.
  • Customer-focus, adaptable, with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Innovative mindset, suggesting ideas to improve talent sourcing strategies.
  • Results-oriented with strong collaboration skills, working with stakeholders, HR, and hiring managers.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing business needs and priorities, with a willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Exceptional time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Natural curiosity and an innovative approach to testing new ideas and creating recruitment efficiencies in the recruitment process.
  • Ability to develop, track, and communicate recruitment metrics, analyze trends, and adapt strategies in response to changing market conditions and business requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a willingness to travel locally as needed.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience working within an ATS, maintaining high levels of data integrity.
  • Previous experience within an HR function is an asset.
