Tile Setter

Sang\u0027s Tile and Flooring is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles in commercial and residential settings. This is a permanent position requiring 35 hours of work per week.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with ceramic tiles.
- Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel.
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base.
- Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets.
- Mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces.
- Install tile strips.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Ability to distinguish between colours.
- Attention to detail.
- Large workload.
- Tight deadlines.
- Physically demanding.
- Handling heavy loads.
- Bending, crouching, kneeling.
This is an on-the-road job with various locations. You will be required to work in dusty, noisy environments with odours present.
