Quality Assurance Specialist

At Arc'teryx Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Quality team. This role will be responsible for developing, implementing and optimizing inspection methodologies to ensure the quality and compliance of our incoming Raw Materials and pre-production assembled parts.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on quality and/or compliance, preferably in the apparel industry. They will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven track record to effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders, previous experiences in 6S, continuous improvement, and LEAN manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities- Take product ownership of quality processes spanning Supplier Quality, New Product Introduction, and Bulk Production, primarily but not limited to Raw Materials & Assembled parts.
- Develop, define and standardize incoming materials inspection standards to document, train, and implement such standards.
- Create robust inspection plans in our QMS supply chain system to allow for data collection and analysis.
- Develop our PPAP program to validate new raw materials and parts every season.
- Problem solve with Engineering, QA, QC and Production to drive non-conformance to full resolution while documenting learnings.
- Developing our process and becoming a subject matter expert in the latest quality inspection technology.
- Explore ways to improve our raw material storage and efficiency in raw material inspection.
- Provide technical guidance and quality compliance for Supplier Quality engagement throughout the NPI lifecycle on newly qualified parts from NPI.
- Formal certification in Lean Six Sigma.
- Previous experience in an ISO9001 environment.
- Experience with CAD software.
