Job Title: Floor Covering Installer

Trend Hardwood Floor is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive high-quality flooring installations.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut underlay, underpadding, and carpeting to ensure a precise fit.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting and other floor coverings on floors, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare detailed tenders and quotations for customers, including materials and labor costs.
  • Inspect and Repair Flooring: Inspect installed flooring for damage and repair as needed.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate knee kickers and other equipment to stretch and install carpeting.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in floor covering installation or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Strong client focus, good judgement, and organized work habits.
Work Conditions:
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 32 hours per week.
