Job Description:

Jasmeet Transport Ltd. seeks a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our haulage operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, GPS devices, or other navigation tools to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods, taking care to ensure accurate and secure handling.
  • Permits and Documents: Obtain special permits and other required documents to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
  • Brake Adjustments: Perform brake adjustments as needed to maintain safe vehicle operation.
  • Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and compliant with regulations.
  • Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods, following safety protocols and regulations.Certifications and Licenses:
    • Class 1/1F/A Licence: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.
    Security and Safety:
    • Bondable: Be willing to undergo a background check and be bondable.
    • Environmental Commitment: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
