Community Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Health Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy living strategies, programs, and initiatives in our communities.
About the RoleThe Community Health Specialist will work collaboratively with local governments, community groups, service providers, and Fraser Health staff to develop and implement healthy living strategies, programs, and initiatives. This role will require strong community development and engagement skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local governments, community groups, and service providers to promote healthy living strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of healthy living strategies and programs.
- Collaborate with Fraser Health staff and community partners to implement healthy living initiatives and programs.
- Provide education and training to community members, service providers, and Fraser Health staff on healthy living strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of healthy living initiatives and programs.
- Master's degree in Public Health, Applied Science, or related field.
- Three (3) years of recent related experience in community development, health promotion, and community engagement.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable community engagement and development, collective impact, population health principles, and health equity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
