Job Title: Microbiology Laboratory Technician

AxxonLab Inc. is a leading testing laboratory specializing in environmental sciences, industrial hygiene, and chemistry. We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to perform full analytical testing of assigned materials or products within standard times and under minimum guidance. The successful candidate will analyze air/swab/tape-lift/bulk environmental samples via direct microscopy for the identification and quantification of mold spores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive microscopy techniques on environmental samples per established SOP's and pharmacopoeia product specifications
  • Document and report results
  • Conduct laboratory investigation as required
  • Provide technical support to other analysts
  • Perform trouble-shooting on complex issues with respect to laboratory analysis and laboratory instrumentation
  • Maintain professional relationship with Internal/External Customers
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Science - Microbiology
  • Must be part or eligible to the Association des Microbiologistes du Québec (AMQ)
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques in IAQ (indoor air quality)
  • Superior organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and effectively
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (both French and English)
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office programs
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail
