AxxonLab Inc. is a leading testing laboratory specializing in environmental sciences, industrial hygiene, and chemistry. We are seeking a highly qualified Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join our team.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for performing full analytical testing of assigned materials or products within standard times and under minimum guidance. This includes analysis of air/swab/tape-lift/bulk environmental samples via direct microscopy for the identification and quantification of mold spores.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform full analytical testing of assigned materials or products within standard times and under minimum guidance.
- Analysis of air/swab/tape-lift/bulk environmental samples via direct microscopy for the identification and quantification of mold spores.
- Documenting and reporting results.
- Conducting laboratory investigation as required.
- Providing technical support to other analysts.
- Performing trouble-shooting on complex issues with respect to laboratory analysis and laboratory instrumentation.
- Maintaining professional relationship with Internal/External Customers.
- University Degree in Science - Microbiology.
- Must be part or eligible to the Association des Microbiologistes du Québec (AMQ).
- Knowledge of analytical techniques in IAQ (indoor air quality).
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and effectively.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills is a must (both French and English).
- Computer proficiency with MS Office programs.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail.
