About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled Registered Cardiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic tests, including electrocardiograms, signal average electrocardiograms, ambulatory monitoring, and stress testing.

You will work closely with cardiologists to prepare patients for testing, perform tests, and interpret results. Additionally, you will be responsible for precepting and mentoring new learners in the department.

Travel to other sites may be required.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in cardiology technology, including a Grade 12 diploma and successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or equivalent. Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and BLS (HCP) certification are also required.

Recent clinical experience in an ECG department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter monitors, and stress testing are essential. Strong initiative, responsibility, and adaptability are also necessary for this role.

Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are an asset.

Hours

This is a permanent full-time position with a 75-hour biweekly schedule. Shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, is required.

Compensation and Incentives

The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $30.83. Additionally, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
