Job Title: Incentives Planning Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Incentives Planning Manager to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in Ajax, ON.

Job Summary:

The Incentives Planning Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing sales incentives for new Volkswagen vehicles to optimize volume opportunities. This includes preparing forecasts, monitoring and analyzing company, industry, and competitive performance, and working closely with internal stakeholders to design and execute monthly incentive programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recommend direction for new vehicle sales programs to VW Management and Finance Controlling based on market conditions, competitive positions, and past program analysis.
  • Maintain new vehicles sales incentive budget and develop sales programs and associated monthly bulletins.
  • Identify opportunities and risks for sales and incentives through detailed analysis and understanding of market conditions, inventory positions, and cost requirements.
  • Develop detailed incentive scenarios to capitalize on opportunities through close cooperation with Product Planning and market analysis.
  • Develop and assess potential for regional specific sales programs.
  • Develop annual budgeting for Sales Incentives programs according to annual Sales plan.
  • Support business case and ad hoc analysis as it relates to Sales Incentives.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts by model and sales channel.
  • Prepare look back analysis on specific programs.
  • Compile, distribute, and maintain all competitive program information.
  • Develop and continually enhance efficiency of reporting, presentation, and reporting templates.
  • Provide all required program information to Volkswagen Finance.
  • Liaise directly with Marketing to ensure proper functionality and accuracy of the website vehicle configurator, payment estimator, and Special Offers pages.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure incentive programs are effectively integrated into all retail advertising.
  • Maintain New Vehicle Incentive Spend Forecast.
  • Process dealer claims and address inquiries related to incentive payments and exceptions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field.
  • 5+ years' automotive experience, including retail experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Comfort looking at financials, assumptions, and scenarios at high-level and granular levels.
  • Confidence to present to and answer objections from senior management.
  • Budget and forecast management skills.
  • Self-motivated with drive to succeed.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as required (10-15%) and adapt to the changing needs of the business and customers.
