Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance services, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, and air systems to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with machine operators to diagnose and troubleshoot machine malfunctions, determining the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Dismantle equipment to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts, replacing them with new ones or repairing/reproducing them from metal stock when possible and safe.
  • Follow all equipment service policies and procedures to ensure safety, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a daily update of the PM log and any other documentation required by the company's policies and procedures.
  • Be accountable for all company-owned tools and equipment, returning them to their proper storage location when done.
  • Teach operators how to recognize problems before they result in equipment malfunctions.
  • Be a critical element on the production line and machinery setup every day.
  • Follow all safety protocols to work on equipment (lockout) and cleaning procedures.
  • Support operators with proper adjustments to machine settings to sustain desired speed and quality of product.
  • Provide troubleshooting for equipment issues to resolve problems, requesting support from other maintenance technicians, managers, or external entities when necessary.
  • Report daily on parts used and maintain updated inventory of spare parts.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards while enforcing safe work habits with all team members.
  • Perform any other tasks or activities required to maintain operations, safety, and housekeeping as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
