Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Health Care Support Worker to join our team in long term care settings. As a Health Care Support Worker, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional to provide non-direct and/or non-clinical healthcare supports to clients, residents, families, and/or visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of non-direct and/or non-clinical healthcare supports to clients, residents, families, and/or visitors in long term care, assisted living and home settings in accordance with the established care plan and safety requirements.
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, residents, families, and/or visitors.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Standardized English language proficiency test score (for applicants with less than three years of full-time instruction in English).
- Proof of vaccination status (as per the current Public Health Orders).
