We are seeking a skilled Drywall Specialist to join our team at Nav Construction Ltd.

About the Job

This permanent position involves working with us to deliver high-quality drywall installation services to our clients. As a Drywall Specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, applying successive coats of compound, and ensuring seamless joints.

Responsibilities
  • Install drywall sheets and secure them to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Apply coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in drywall installation (7 months to less than 1 year)
  • Ability to work at heights, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods
Work Conditions

You will be working in a dusty environment, with various locations and willingness to relocate. This is a physically demanding job that requires manual dexterity, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
