About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team at G & K EXCAVATION & DEMOLITION SERVICES LTD. in a warehouse environment. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials from trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
  • Material Movement: Move products and materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
  • Picking and Stocking: Pick orders and stock products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Make labels and attach them to goods, and pack and unpack goods as needed.
  • Sorting and Stacking: Sort, crate, and stack goods in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transportation and Distribution: Transport and distribute materials and goods to and from the warehouse.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
