Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Estimator and Repair Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating repairs for commercial transport vehicles, as well as experience with Mitchell Connect software.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing body damages to fiberglass and suspension components on OEM class 6,7,8 vehicles, trailers, and RVs. This includes efficiently estimating repairs, replacing damaged structures, body parts, interior and exterior finishes, and making warranty decisions as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex body damage issues
- Estimate repairs using Mitchell Connect software
- Repair and replace damaged structures, body parts, and finishes
- Making warranty decisions and communicating with customers
- Ensure professional quality detail and craftsmanship
- Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- 3+ years' experience estimating commercial transport vehicles
- Working knowledge of Mitchell Connect software
- Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
- Journeyman Certificate (or Red Seal) is an asset
- Light mechanical and suspension experience is an asset
- Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
- Class 5 driver's license
