Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Foreperson for our Mechanical Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and lead the execution of work, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the execution of work to ensure quality, standard, and specifications are met
  • Ensure crew members have the required capability and training to fulfill their duties and responsibilities
  • Support and enforce company policies and procedures
  • Install underground process and plumbing piping systems, including HDPE, PVC, Ductile Iron, Steel, and Copper piping
  • Inspect, pressure test, and disinfect piping prior to system testing
  • Identify required tools and special equipment necessary to complete site and shop project works
  • Perform various tasks on the labor crew to support mechanical/civil operations
Requirements
  • Experience supervising/leading a small crew of 2-5 people in a leadership role
  • Experience in construction and/or water/wastewater treatment industries
  • Experience with the installation of various civil, process, and plumbing piping systems
  • Experience installing equipment such as pumps, mixers, blowers, compressors, gates, and valves
  • Physical fitness to lift large weights and climb in and out of trenches, manholes, etc.
  • Highly organized and motivated to carry out various duties
  • Knowledge of safe hoisting and rigging procedures is an asset
  • Construction Safety Training Systems Certificate (CSTS)
  • First Aid Level 1 or 2
  • Confined Space Entry training is an asset
