Job Summary

L.A. Power Systems Ltd./Drain Master is seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to locate and excavate utilities, ensuring safe and efficient completion of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Operate Hydrovac Trucks: Safely operate hydrovac trucks to locate and excavate utilities, following all safety protocols and regulations.

Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition, including regular maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.

Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete any necessary paperwork and reports.

Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers and other team members to receive and relay information, ensuring seamless communication and efficient task completion.

Maintenance and Repair: Assist with maintenance and repair of hydrovac trucks, including performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.

Requirements

Class 1/1F/A Licence: Hold a valid Class 1/1F/A Licence for semi-trailer trucks.

Air Brake (Z) Endorsement: Possess an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Previous Experience: Have at least 3 years of experience in the field of hydrovac operations.

Physical Demands: Be able to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and working in dusty conditions.

Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with dispatchers, team members, and other stakeholders.
