Job Title: Hydrovac Truck Operator - Excavation and Utility Location
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Truck Operator to join our team at L.A. Power Systems Ltd./Drain Master. As a Hydrovac Truck Operator, you will be responsible for operating a hydrovac truck to excavate and locate underground utilities, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a hydrovac truck to excavate and locate underground utilities
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency
- Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Dig ditches and trenches, and use specialized equipment to determine the location of buried pipelines and other utilities
- Implement records scheduling and disposal plans, and dig ground to expose gas lines
Requirements:
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
- Valid driver's licence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
